With the most successful season for the Tasman Makos coming to a close, the focus at The Tasman Rugby Union is now on securing support and sponsorship for the next two years of the Air New Zealand Cup.

The hundreds of emails sent to the New Zealand Rugby Union during their decision making process definitely had a bearing on their choice to allow the Makos to remain in the top tier competition for 2009 and 2010. Makos players and management are enormously grateful to their supporters for backing them up at the crucial time.

Preparations are now being made to ensure the next two seasons are better than ever, both on and off the field.
