Tasman Maori rugby side to travel south

Tasman's top Maori rugby players are in action this weekend at the annual Te Waipunamu (South Island) tournament at Timaru.
Te Tau Ihu (Tasman) take on Aoraki in their opening clash on Saturday then in the afternoon play off for either the title or third and fourth.
Other teams involved at senior level are Southland, Canterbury and Otago.
The Te Tau Ihu team is dominated by Nelson-based players and includes members of the Tasman Makos squad.
Kahu Marfell captains the team while Quentin MacDonald, James Giles, Fo'ou Tiueti, Maia King, Julius Bradley, Sam Summerton and David Posa are the Marlborough squad members.
Played in conjunction with the senor competition are colts and women's matches.
