New Zealand Sevens Coach Gordon Tietjens has named a squad of 27 players to try out for the national team.
The players will be put through their paces at a four-day trial camp, starting at Mt Maunganui on January 17.
The 2008 New Zealand Sevens contracted squad will be named prior to next month's NZ Sevens tournament in Wellington.
New Zealand Sevens squad members from 2007, Charles Baxter, Jarek Goebel and Willie Rickards did not attend the national sevens tournament over the weekend due to injury and were not considered for the trial.
