Di is responsible for the office management functions of the Tasman Rugby Union. She is the person to contact for any general enquires including invoice or billing.
Di worked part time for the Nelson Bays Rugby Union for 9 years. Her background consists of accounting, tourism and hospitality.
Leanne joined the Tasman Rugby Union from West Yates. Her role provides Tasman Rugby with sound financial management practices and accurate financial reporting systems including managing the administrative and support structure at Tasman Rugby as well as the information technology requirements.
Leanne also assists players with contractual queries and financial advice.
Mike joined the team here in 2009 & is responsible for Rugby Operations in & around the region.
Mike co-ordinates & administers the season draws for our Junior, Age-grade, Senior club rugby, he organises & runs representative fixtures also.
Mike is our “information man” with his weekly results tables & “rugby run-down” articles during our season. He is often at the coal-face also, working with club administrators & players in efforts to deliver effective running of rugby.
Kahu’s role with the union is at the ‘coal face’, promoting the game to younger players and teaching vital basic skills in local primary schools, JAB clubs and age grade representative teams.
He coordinates tournaments and special events for younger players like Ripper Rugby.
Nigel joined TRU in July 2008 after a career in teaching. He has coached and refereed rugby, both in England and NZ, for over 30 years.
His role is to recruit and educate potential referees and to continue to develop the skills of existing whistle blowers. He also helps to provide courses for players and coaches to enhance their knowledge of the Laws of the game. His role extends across the whole of the Tasman and Buller Rugby Unions.
Simon’s role is to programme and deliver the strength and conditioning programme for the Tasman Makos and the Tasman Rugby Academy as well as oversee the development and implementation of the Tasman Rugby Strength and Conditioning progression plan from Junior Academy (13-17 year old school level) through to Makos level.
Simon finished his AUT Bachelopr of Sport and Recreation degree through NMIT in Nelson in mid-2008 and has been involved with Tasman at various levels since 2007.
Shaaron’s role at the union is to support, guide and assist the players in their personal and professional development, both on and off the field.
The Professional Development role is a part time one with Shaaron dividing her time between the TRU and her business which specialises in Leadership and Supervision training.
Craig is based in the Marlborough Office at Lansdowne Park. He oversees all things rugby in Marlborough including organisation and logistics all levels of rugby, liasing with marketing and sponsors and managing TRU facilities- Landsdowne Park and The Jim Fraser Centre.
Craig is a Marlborough Boys College old boy and has returned to his roots after 8 years with the Bay of Plenty rugby union. While there he was in roles such as premier team manager and ran the elite rugby representative program.
Neill's role in the Marlborough office is to manage the Marlborough Rugby Academy and also to work with Club and Rep Coaches to ensure that they are supported in their development and club and rep programs. Neill also works closely with the Junior Development Officer to support activity in schools, rippa rugby events and holiday programs.
